To everyone who has been subjected to complaints about my car, and specifically my inability to unlock it without turning the engine off: Sorry.
To the German engineers who thought putting door unlock button in the center console between the air vents was a good idea: Nein, nein, nein, sehr schlecht!

yeah, who’d guess a button with a door and key icon would be the unlock? Just be thankful you don’t have idrive knob like the 5-series….for you, that would be sehr schlecht indeed. And your next assignment will be to figure out what the DTC button does!
This photo is life size, it’s not that obvious when you’re sitting behind the wheel on the right-hand side of the car. Everything is weird! DTC is some kind of stability-traction control that seems to always be off. Real question is what is the dial underneath for?
